Today is the day millions of players had marked on their calendars. Rockstar Games will finally show a new look at GTA 6, after years of waiting, rumors, and, more recently, a series of leaks that put the company on the ropes.
The preview, called Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, premieres this August 27th via Netflix and will later be available on Rockstar's official channels. The company confirmed that the presentation will begin at 3:00 p.m. ET, which is 3:00 p.m. on the East Coast of the United States.
But the trailer isn't the only thing making headlines.
Rockstar finally spoke about the leaks
After several days of silence, Rockstar published a letter addressed to the community in which it acknowledged the impact of the leaks.
The company described the situation as a very hard blow for its team and assured that it regrets that players had to learn details of the game in this way. At the same time, Rockstar made it clear that it still fully trusts GTA 6 and that it is close to officially showing what it has been preparing.
The response comes after Cyberleek published numerous videos apparently belonging to development versions of GTA 6.
Take-Two, Rockstar's parent company, even went to court to request information from Microsoft and Discord in order to identify those responsible for the leak.

And now El Rubius appears
As if all this weren't enough, El Rubius was among the content creators invited to Rockstar North to see GTA 6 before its public presentation.
According to reports published this Thursday, Rubius and other creators had a private presentation of the game at Rockstar's facilities. It would be a hands-off experience, meaning they were able to see and learn about the game, but not necessarily play it directly.
The interesting thing is that the invited creators would have received information that they can share once the embargo related to the new preview ends.
That means we could get much more than just a trailer.
What can we expect today?
Rockstar has not yet detailed everything we will see, but the name An Extended Look points to a much deeper presentation than previous previews.
The community expects to finally learn more about the gameplay, Jason and Lucia, Vice City, the activities, the vehicles, and the enormous amount of details that Leonida will have.
And after the leaks, Rockstar has a perfect opportunity to regain control of the conversation.
Today we will finally see GTA 6 as Rockstar wanted to show it to us.
And the big question is:
